Embers Breaks Vol​.​1

This project came about when Johnny Clash (of Bam Bam Sound and Purple Radio fame) asked me if I’d like to make some tracks using a particular template which arose out of some (not entirely serious) discussions on the Dogs on Acid drum & bass forum.

The parameters for Embers Breaks were given as:

“The music is created in 145 bpm and the drums are specifically created to make this fast aspect of the track and psychedelic feeling.
It’s basically about drums.
The drums are specifically made with many ”sticks” and ”snare rollings” that create this fast aspect of the track at 145 bpm.”

These basic rules have led to an explosion of creativity among many producers making a whole range of tracks that can be described as Embers Breaks. This EP brings together my first attempts, hopefully not my last.
